CustomEyes® Books

A Dad reading to his children

Blind Children UK’s CustomEyes® service produces large print books for children with vision impairment. These are tailor-made for each child or young person, but we only charge the recommended retail price.

Our customised large print books open up a whole world of imagination and learning, by enabling visually impaired children and young people to read the same books as their sighted friends and classmates.

We tailor-make each book – producing it in the font size, paper colour and format that suits an individual child’s specific eye condition. If they can best see black writing at font size 24 on yellow paper, then that’s what we’ll produce. We also supply standard large print for libraries.

We have over 3,000 large print books to choose from, with more titles being added all the time. These include the latest fiction and non-fiction bestsellers. We also provide school textbooks including GCSE and A Level English texts, plus revision guides for Key Stages 2, 3 and 4.

Becoming a member with CustomEyes® is quick, easy and free of charge.

Just fill out the relevant membership form below, one for schools and services and the other for individual members, then return it back to us via post or email. “One of the best things for Megan has been being able to get CustomEyes® large print books, and finally being able to read the stories other children and her sisters enjoy.”
